Victorian slipper chair
Chairs: Antique & Unique This “slipper” chair of the late 1800s preserves a low, upholstered seat built especially for changing ones shoes and other garments. It fits perfectly as a side chair into any bedroom or parlor, and its decorative back preserves the rich carving associated with its Victorian era. Note the stylized sunflower centered beneath the top rail; a favorite among designers of the period, this detail helps to date the chair c. 1880.
