DESCRIPTION:  \nIn celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence\, North Fork history organizations have collaborated to bring you a better experience of what happened during the Revolutionary War in our area. Each one of these North Fork Museums does an excellent job portraying their piece of how the Revolutionary War affected the people living in Southold Town through their stories\, objects\, and exhibits. Follow the trail to see how they represent their tales of how our nation began. Go from place to place to get a more comprehensive perception of what happened on the North Fork 250 years ago. To find out more about when these organizations are open and what exhibits and events they have planned\, visit their websites. 1. DESCRIPTION:LIVE THEATER PERFORMANCE-ASK MRS LINCOLN\, as portrayed by actor and educator Heléna Eilenberg.  The year is 1875. Come and speak with Mary Todd Lincoln just after her release from a mental institution. You will meet the most maligned First Lady in a revealing new light. She is portrayed based on her own letters\, the writings of those who knew her\, and the recently discovered records of her insanity trial. Learn about her marriage to Abraham Lincoln\, their lives before and in Washington during the Civil War. Learn about their children\, how she was perceived by others\, and what contributed to the image that has lasted of Mary Todd Lincoln to this day. Brought to you as a collaborative effort between the Cutchogue New Suffolk Free Library and Cutchogue-New Suffolk Historical Council & Museums. Saturday\, August 22 at 2:00 pm.
