Celebrate the Fourth of July by touring a local house that has direct, documented ties to our Nation’s founding!

On July 4th, Cutchogue-New Suffolk Historical Council is celebrating our Nation’s birth on the Village Green in Cutchogue with tours of our historic buildings featuring costumed docents. What better way to celebrate than with a tour of the Old House, which has a direct documented link to an event related to the conflict between the British and the Patriots. Hear how Parker Wickham, the town’s supervisor, loyal to the king, lost his house after the war to patriot and bitter foe Jared Landon, and see the document that made it so in 1799. Enjoy free lemonade or ice tea and cupcakes. Come early or stay late, enjoy a picnic on the Green, and have a good old-fashion fourth of July. Please note, because of local parades, tours will be from 2 pm-5 pm on the fourth of July.
